alpha in thumbnail

here is alpha issue (tif, exr)
please add an option to disable alpha in thumbnails.

I'm having a hard time getting AlphaForThumbnail option to work in XnView 1.98.4.

I tried few different image file types with alpha transparency, but I don't see any difference between thumbnails when I set AlphaForThumbnail=0 or AlphaForThumbnail=1.

Do you have rebuilt thumbnails?

Yes. I also tried to disable thumbnail cache while tesing, but it's not working.

AlphaForThumbnail=0/1 has no effect.

The animated screenshot below shows the thumbnails for spacesuit.png & xnview.png with and without activated Use alpha channel option in the View menu of viewer mode.

Because of their background artifacts, these sample images may be useful in tests.
