Sometimes, Right-Click > Close = Crash! on Windows 7

Hi guys,
I know I'm really using quite old version which is 1.97.8 (Sep 2010) version and haven't updated for a long time due to being pleased and maintained file-type associated with a lot of effort. I don't know the following bug would apply to current version, so any test is welcomed.
Issue: Open "some" image file with XnView, right-click on it and open context menu, choose "Close" then XnView crashes with "XnView has stopped working" message, resulting with appcrash. Interestingly, if you close it via CTRL+W, no crash happens. I'm running on Windows 7 SP1. It happens randomly, but not always. And it doesn't happen when you close normally by clicking X on top-right corner.
Any ideas? Does it still exist in current version?
