XnView and XnViewMP .zip versions portable?
Are the XnView and XnViewMP .zip versions portable? Can they be removed cleanly without leftovers? Are the settings self-contained?

- Besides changing the location of the settings, you also have to make sure that all checkboxes in Tools » Options... » System Integration » Integration are deactivated. The same goes for file type associations, of course.
AFAIK, you can't prevent CADSoftTools (3rd-party I/O plug-in) from adding entries to the registry.

Re: XnView and XnViewMP .zip versions portable?
Portable version of xnView Classic is available here: http://portableapps.com/apps
I personally use zip version with settings inside xnView directory.
You may check with regCompare or TotalUninstall or similar software if it is "enough portable" for you
Then you will see those keys XnTriq posted above to remain in registry.
For me .zip version is OK for portability.

Re: XnView and XnViewMP .zip versions portable?
thanks for the info, but i would prefer an official portable version for ease of setting up and to avoid any potential problems
