Command "View -> Show Grid"

Just to be sure: The settings for the "Grid" are

a) in Pixel
b) valid for the displayed size of the image
c) so independent from the size (width and height) of the image
d) there a zoomed-in image displays more grid line than a zoomed-out image

Right?

Right?
The following is a 200x150px image opened in XnView Classic -- Click to see the full image:

No_grid.png
No_grid.png (23.23 KiB) Viewed 1146 times
The following grid settings are selected:

Grid_settings.png
Grid_settings.png (6.85 KiB) Viewed 1146 times
With display scaling 1:1 on the toolbar this is the resulting image -- Click to see the full image:

1_to_1.png
1_to_1.png (23.66 KiB) Viewed 1146 times
So the grid dimensions are in pixels, and relate to the displayed pixel size of the image on screen...

With display scaling 2:1 [ '+' clicked twice on the toolbar, default zoom setting] this is the image displayed on the screen -- Click to see the full image:

2_to_1.png
2_to_1.png (23.85 KiB) Viewed 1146 times
So more grid lines are displayed when zoomed in, and the grid remains relative to the displayed image pixel dimensions on the screen...

So 'yes' to all your questions?

No, only to the last (and only one).
Everything correct: Yes 8)

Thanks for the detailed demonstration and the confirmation.
