Hi. For some reason PNGs downloaded from
http://deadendthrills.com/ are not shown in thу browser. I see that they are shown when I first open the folder and program scans it, but then they dosappear and are not shown anymore in the browser. Though I can successfully open them in the viewer and if I save same file with a diiferent name it's then shown in a browser. Have no idea what's wrong with the original. I will not attach an example, as they are pretty large in size.
It is not reproducible in XNViewMP - it shows them all.

Please tell if checkbox in your Options->section Browser, subsection File List->tab Misc.->"Recognize only by extension" is enabled or disabled. I have saved one picture from this website, and, despite having extension .png, this is JPEG TrueColor v1.1 as detected by XnView. When I select "Recognize only by extension", leave and then re-enter directory containing this file, it's not present in the list (I use filtering by Images mode for Browser). With deselected "Recognize only by extension" this file appears fine.

Hi, yes, inedeed this option was On, and it seems it's On by default, I don't remember changing this.
Thanks, it solves the issue!
