What does this option do:
Tools -> Options -> Intall -> Add XnView as application for USB events?

When I plug in my camera or my card-reader, windows shows a dialog, where I can select an application to be started. But XnView doesn't appear in this dialog, even when above option is checked.

XnView should be visible in this dialog if the option is enabled. Which system do you have? Other users with the same problem?

My system is Win XP professional SP2.
After looking arround in the registry, I found some difference between Xnview and other applications:

XnView adds its entry to the key
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\StillImage\Registered Applications

The application that are listed after plugging in my camera add their entries to the key
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StillImage\Events

The application that are listed after plugging in my card reader add their entries to the key
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers

Yes, info that found for Still Image, is to set this key
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\StillImage\Registered Applications
On my Win2K, i have no key here:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StillImage\Events

But is it:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\StillImage\Registered Applications
or
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StillImage\Events

I can't say it definitely. I don't know much about windows registry.

But please try out Photocopier Pro from nicocuppen.com

It registers correctly.
