0.72 Linux: xnviewmp touches folder (changes files' time)

Hello.
I like xnviewmp as good linux analog of Acdsee . I used version 0.64 ok. But version 0.72 sometime corrupts file time, change it to current time.
I noticed that it happens when closed xnviewmp hangs long time in the background.
I often use sortinng by time, so i want to disable this unwanted behavior.
UPD: It happened about 3-4 times in the nov and dec 2016.
Thumbnail caching is disabled. Images located in NTFS and EXT4 volume if it's important.
OS: xubuntu 14.04 x64
What setting i need to disable?
Or if it's bug - is it fixed in newer version?

Thank you for registering to the forum and your request, Bill. Before trying to analyze your problem I'd ask you to update to the latest version of XnView MP, which is
version 0.84.

You wrote about unwanted and unexpected updates of file time stamps. It can well be that the problem no longer persists in the latest XnView MP version; so a program update is the way to go.

ok. I installed v0.84
It seems that this version correctly disappers from process list when closed and it doesn't eat cpu time when it idle.
I'll stay v0.84 open on test folder tonight

Good. Problem solved.

In XnView Browser you can sort files in a folder manually by dragging them around. This manual or custom sort order is saved in the file ".XnViewSort" (on Windows this file is a hidden file).

OMFG. Bug was reproduced now.
I don't sure that xnviewmp is guilty of this.
There xnviewmp and Tor Browser hangs, and after some time Krusader (2.4.0-beta3) hangs too.
Image folder is Tor Browser's "Downloads".
xnviewmp and krusader disapears when i kill tor browser's process.
UPD. Files was touched recursively.
There is about 10GB of files (basically jpg and mht).
about 10000 files.

Thank you for your update, Bill. Would be good if you could track down which application causes the problem. ATM, I have little idea why XnView should update thousands of files.
