Re: Converting PIC files to Jpg files
I'm also having problems converting PIC files. These are from Mystic Color Labs circa 1997. I thought I'd used this software to convert these files in the past, but I found another diskette with images and it's unable to convert. Be happy to provide a sample. Thanks.

I tried to, but when I drag and drop I get an INVALID FILE EXTENSION message. So I renamed the extension to JPG to fool your system, but the extension should be PIC. Let me know if you need more.

Your file is not attached to your post, if that is what you intended...
You should be able to attach it if you place the file with its extension in a ZIP or similar archive (2 MiB the current forum limit) and use the 'Attachments' tab below the composing window.

Strange. I dragged and dropped it, though it did warn that it couldn't figure out the dimensions. I'll try it using the attachment tab option, though it again is giving a little yellow triangle with an exclamation point as the status, so I'm not sure if it's succesful, but you tell me.

No, is the file in a ZIP which is less than 2MB?Mrem wrote: ↑Sat Dec 22, 2018 3:24 pm Strange. I dragged and dropped it, though it did warn that it couldn't figure out the dimensions. No, I just tried to attach the PIC files. Here are two in a ZIP file.

Re: Converting PIC files to Jpg files
No. The files were produced by the film developer, Mystic Color Labs. At the same time that they would develop the rolls of film, they gave customers the option of having digital copies sent on disk. While they later did this as JPGs, in the early going they used this format. Circa refers to the approximate year the photos were taken/developed/stored on the disk. They did provide viewer software, but it doesn't run on this computer. I've attached all the viewer-associated files that came on the disk.

Thanks anyway. it's strange, i converted these files once in the past, and I thought using your software, but I guess not, and I can't seem to track down what I used. Guess I'll have to keep searching...
