XnView MP version is 0.96
I set categories, but they don't display in column Categories

I reinstalled program, nothing changed

"Categories" is a tool in XnViewMP that mirrors keywords and displays/updates the keywords database.
Settings are located in "Tools, options, Metadata" ...

"Catergories" is also an old iptc metadata that you can access in the "Edit iptc/xmp" window, but that nobody uses anymore.

If you want to see "Categories" from the first definition in the browser, you can only diplay "IPTC keywords" column.
If "create iptc" is not enabled in settings metadata, no iptc keywords are written in photos, and I think you can't diplay xmp keywords

I should say Tools, settings, Metadata menu (in this screen, settings are set for "categories tool" usage )
In your screenshot, we can see "Create XMP data" and "create iptc data" , Your settings seems correct.

Then select an image, check a category (in the categories panel), and select another image to release the first one.

Now you can see a keyword (= the checked category) in the main screen for this image.
(Bug until V0.95, sometimes keywords are not immediately displayed: select another folder, and come back to your folder to refresh the display)

2. I don't see the "IPTC keywords" column

The name of this column is "Keywords" , it's already checked in your screenshot (from imgur.com)

It's videos (mp4). Maybe that's reason ?
I select video, set Categories by checking items in list and after click to another video. But nothing happen

Selected another folders. I restarted program, reinstalled it. But nothing changes
Is there other ways to solve the bug? (Do i understand correctly that it's bug in my case?)

In detail view, currently you can't have the Categories (only IPTC>Categories)

How to mark videos with my own flags?
I mean there are rating and colored labels, i want to create my own labels with possibility to set multiply labels to one video
In order to sort and filter them later

Not requested you can configure it in 'thumbnails+labels'

I already did it. But it doesn't work too

it seems that your file has no IPTC:Categories (video has no IPTC), if you want to use catalog categories, please use {Categories} as labels

In that case i have a question: We get that videos have no IPTC:Categories,
But information about selected categories is saved into .XMP files.
And when i select video - it's correctly show selected categories in the 'Categories' section

in your case, you export catalog categories in xmp, currently there is no way to extract XMP data in labels.
So the only way is to use the categories stored in catalog (sync with .xmp), you can use a custom label and enter {Categories}

you have the setting to import/export categories into .xmp sidecar

So when you add/remove a category inside XnView, the .xmp sidecar is changed, and the database used by catalog too. the database try to be synchronized with files.

{IPTC:Categories} use another metadata (IPTC)

So if you want to display the categories (category pane), you can add a custom label like that
