I have a large number of old FPX files from a Kodak digital camera. I have succeeded to convert them earlier (in 2011) but I would like to try again to see if I can get a better result than last time. Bu I can't get XnConvert or XnViewMP to work. I have downoaded the Xfpx.dll to the library "plugins".
When I try to convert in XnConvert it says: "0069.fpx 0x0x0: not a picture"
So I thought that maybe my files have been damaged.
Bu then I tried to convert a ordinary jpg file to a fpx file and that does not work either so I guess the program does not use the Xfpx.dll correctly.
It says it creates a new file but there is no fpx-file created.
Any ideas what could be wrong?

Just a guess: are you possibly using a 32-bit plugin on 64-bit XnConvert, in which case it might be worth trying again with 32-bit XnConvert??

You might also check, on the Settings tab, Load format settings -- Ignore read errors.

I started with the 64-bit but then I read that the plugin needs the 32-bit so I uninstalled the 64-bit and are now using the 32-bit. Thanks for the tip. Can it be that something remains in the registry so it still believes I´m running the 64-bit...?

I wouldn't think so, but I normally keep clear of the registry.

And 'ignore read errors' is checked?

It might help if you could provide an example FPX file for Pierre, or anyone else, to test if they have time...
