XnViewMP 0.97.1 ignore this setting. It starts with a blank browser.

I can't reproduce this, it works for me. Win10 x64.

Now I know the reason for the problem:

I activated a checkbox in settings menue, which clean the file and folder history.
The german translation of this setting entry is not precisely.
It says clean file history after closing xnviewmp.
It although cleans the opened directory history. So it does not work at my computer.

Problem solved.

If you feel that the German translation is not optimal, you should perhaps report that to Helmut on this thread:

You can argue the point with him...
