XnView Software

I feel I'm probably overlooking something simple

I open photo IMG_20210211555.jpg and do some cropping etc then SAVE AS funny-cat.jpg

I now would like funny-cat.jpg to be automatically the image open in XnViewMP so I can carry working on it.

I know I could do this with rename but that's not what I want either

Any tips?

settings>General>File operations - use output filename after save as?

That was already set. Curiously sometimes I do save as and then find that the open image is the one I've just saved.

yes right, but there is a problem. If you change the file folder, the viewer should go to this folder too?

No I wouldn't want to move to the saved folder, drat!!
