XnView: MP 0.98.4
OS: Linux 64bit
I'm experiencing a bug in which the AVIF and JPEG XL formats do not appear in the About/Formats menu, or in the "Save as" menu when saving a file.

Hi,

I' using Debian Linux 11 (Bullseye, 64 bit) and I just upgraded XnView MP to 0.99.6: is AVIF still unsupported on Linux? I have a growing number of AVIF images and cannot open them (I don't have the need to save them, just reading/viewing is currently necessary). It's also not listet in "About XnView MP" -> "Formats".

If it's still not supported: are there plans to support this format in the Linux version too?

Thanks and kind regards

Hi Pierre,

one year later I just downloaded version 1.4.2 but it seems that AVIF is still unsupported on Linux. Are there any news when the plugin will be available?

Thanks and kind regards
