XnView Software

I am using the free version of XnView MP (0.99.1 x64) but I cannot get favourites or layouts to save - is this a function of the paid version?

If I close the program and reopen it, it will return to the previous layout (one I have changed), but if I switch away and return the changes are lost. And while favourites appear to be saved, on closing and re-opening they disappear.

I have tried uninstalling, including removing all references to XnView in the registry, and reinstalling.

I am only using it as a browser, to view and delete photos pre-editing in Affinity Photo.

could you post a screenshot of settings>Integration>Paths

I can't paste or upload a screenshot It just puts the tags in when I click on the picture icon.

But I can tell you that my ini file is located and is set for User (System) as are catalog (XnView.db) and thumbnails database (thumb.db). Other files are set to the program folder.

Those files are present at C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Roaming\XnViewMP, and the file modified dates change so they are being updated in some way, but the favourites are still not present when I reopen XnView.

Dunno, don't think I changed it, but setting it to User made no difference.

Yes, but I changed the thumbnail from "same as catalog" to "User" specifically, and now seems to be working.
