The photo file doesn't open with that message.
It's a symptom that appears in version 0.99.1.
There's no error in version 0.95

Are you able to start XnView directly? Windows 10?

Yes, it's Windows 10 and you can do it individually.
When starting another program, an error message comes out from 0.99 If you install 0.95 it runs without errors.

you have this message when starting XnView from windows explorer?
