XnView Software

Hello everyone,
in my XnView installation I'm not displayed any thumbnail for videos (OS Windows 10).
Even changing the option "Show 4 thumbnails in video's thumbnail (Instead of 1)" I don't display anything, neither 1 nor 4 thumbnails. Only the file type icon is displayed.
Can someone help me to solve the problem?

which video format?

It seems for all video formats.
For example, I have some different formats like *.avi *.mpg *.mp4 *.mov but for none of them I can see thumbnails. I have XnView installed on three different PC on all of them I have the same behaviour.

Yes, I'm currently use XnView MP. I tried also XnView Classic and it seems that only in some video format the thumbnail are showed: *.avi, *.mpg but not al the other.

I can't reproduce, if you uncheck 'show 4 thumbnails' all is ok?

Unfortunately not. I see the same behaviour regardless of the 'show 4 thumbnails' option setting.
I don't know if it's possible to share some pictures.

No, I have not made any changes to the useInternalVideoPlayer setting in xnview.ini.
I checked and the setting is: useInternalVideoPlayer=true

in settings>File list>Custom filter, 'video' is checked for 'Show as thumbnail'?

Perfect!!! Unfortunately, I was not aware of this setting and, for some reason, the "Show as Thumbnail" option for video was unchecked.

ho avuto anch'io lo stesso identico problema ma grazie a te (per aver posto la domanda) e a Pierre per la risposta, ho risolto nel poter vedere finalmente ora le miniature di circa 1500 video
