XnView MP version 0.99.7 64bit portable
OS: Windows 11 Home, version 21H2, OS build 22000.469

Configuring the settings for XnViewMP to exit after hitting the "escape" key does not work. It will clear XnViewMP's display of the thumbnails but not exit. This is what it looks like:

do you have Settings>Interface>Tabs - closing last tab..?

Yes, Settings>Interface>Closing Last Tab Exits XnView is checked.

Also have this one: Interface>Keyboard>Pressing ESC once quits XnViewMP = Always

it works here, you press ESC in browser or in edit mode?
