Viewing files in the viewer

I think there's some incosistency with the viewer. Let's say you're using dblclick to switch modes.

If you're viewing a picture in fullscreen view, dblclicking it again will bring you back to the browser and close the picture. Great.

But the same doesn't apply to the viewer mode. Dblclicking an opened pictured will only switch back to the browser and leave the viewer tab opened. If you then click on the same image in the browser, it will open a 2nd viewer with the same picture. Needless.

Thoughts?

Use View>Only one view opened to have no more than 1 View window opened.

I guess there is no option to autoclose image when switching with double-click or option to reuse tab with already opened file (?).

That kinda works actually. :? Forgot about that option.

Well, after working with that option enabled, i found reason why this is not an ideal solution: the tab feature is practically gone for me, since there's always just one viewer tab.
So is there any reason not to do it as i have suggested in my 1st post?

What does that have to do with my problem? My problem is, that there's no way to have just one tab per file.

So my question again: Who needs to have the same file opened on more than 1 tab at a time?
