1.4.0b1 - Categories import no longer handles subcategories
Posted: Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:10 pm
Steps to reproduce
1. Open XnView
2. Select a layout that displays Categories pane
3. Select a file so pane is enabled.
4. Select the drop arrow at upper right, then Categories Management, then Clear All to clear categories
5. From Categories Management, select Import from file and select a file with indented (nested) categories.
In 1.3.1 the indented lines imported as nested subcategories, per screenshot
In 1.4.0b1 the indented lines imported as flat parent categories, per screenshot
Example categories file with nested subcategories
(it looks like the forum strips out whitespace so I can't show it indented nor can I attach a text file. I added asterisks to denote indents. Two asterisks denote 2 levels of indenting. I just shortened the list. You don't need that many to get the point.)
