I use Tools -> Metadata -> edit IPTS to add the Location. After that, I find "Iptc4xmpCore:Location" of XMP has the same value.
But when I use Tools -> Metadata -> edit XMP, I cannot find it in all tabs.
Is it possible (or should it) to add the tag in XMP editor?

Right, I confirm that this XMP field, which can be written with "Edit IPTC" is not accessible with "Edit XMP".

An ugly workaround is to use "only xmp" mode with the "Edit IPTC" dialog

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.4.4. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

- Select a (jpg) picture

- Use "Edit IPTC" with Mode = IPTC+XMP
- Enter City, Location, State, Country ... Write

Use "Edit XMP"
- City, State, Country are displayed in "Origin" tab, but Location is still not shown ...

Btw, both "Origin" and "IPTC extensions" have the same fields (Location, City, State, and Country), are they read/write the same fields?
