Export dialog
crash on Preview Best Fit

To reproduce:
1. run clean portable XnViewMP
2. open relatively wide image (>450px), eg test one 3. press CTRL+ALT+S to open Export... dialog
- tick 'Auto refresh' checkbox
- increase dialog height, so the image has black areas on top and bottom
4 OPTIONAL. click 'Zoom 100%' button
5. click 'Best Fit' button
app will crash

i can't reproduce, you are able to always make the crash?

yep, still an issue on 1.4.4
try "if app does not crash" alternative steps

i have video
(recorded at 100% win scale, but it does not affect this issue)

I tested it on Windows 10 and can not reproduce the problem.

upd: crashes 1.4.3 and 1.4.4 for me

I am using the latest Version of XnViewMP 1.4.4 and could not reproduce your problem.
In your post you say you are using Version 1.4.3.

Did you get the crash with the latest version, too?
Please try it again.

yeah, same crash in 1.4.4
maybe win11 invovled somehow, as I do not have win10 to test

Does your computer have enough ram?

I tested it with 8 GB and 16 GB physical RAM.

2pc: intel/amd, both 32gb ram, ssd
1laptop: intel, 16gb ram, ssd
all win11 and crash on each one of them

also icons look a little bit pixelated and behave different when squeezed
maybe its related somehow

another example with Replace dialog

open Import & sort dialog and import test file second time
1. press Original zoom
2. press Best fit
app will crash

not able to reproduce, and the crash dump seems to be invalid

<=0.98.3 - not crashing
>=0.98.4 - crashing
100% reproducible
