XnViewMP 1.4.4 64bit
Windows11 (22H2), display resolution 3840x2160, win scaling 150%

Viewer / Batch convert - Levels...
Grey pointer is not limited by black/white pointers (as it does eg in Photoshop)

To reproduce:
1. run clean portable XnViewMP
2. open image
3. press L to open Levels...
4. manually drag black pointer to the right
5. manually drag grey pointer to the left past black pointer
grey pointer will not stop at black pointer and go past it (same issue with white pointer)
6. manually drag black pointer to the left
grey pointer will go offscreen

At the first time I tried it without reading your instructions. :-(
You are right. Now I can reproduce your problems and can confirm both bugs.

1.5.0b1
  • D
    - it is still possible to move one pointer behind another by manually editing values
  • E
    - range's scale for grey pointer feels denser on the left when changing it manually

Ok will be fixed in b2

it's normal, you have range from 10 to 1 for the first half, and from 1 to 0 for the second half...

wait.. looks like false alarm here
in ps/lr its possible to drag one pointer past another, making negative image
maybe its worth to make the same (currently its not possible to manually drag pointers past each other in xnview)
