Viewer - Zoom - High zoom quality
state is out of sync between Viewer menu and Settings combobox until app restarted

To reproduce:
1. run clean portable XnViewMP
2. open any image and zoom-in max to see effect
3. press F12 to open Settings
- set 'High zoom quality ' to Never (View>View tab)
- press OK
3. in Viewer goto View menu
'High zoom quality ' is still checked (until app restarted)
4. click on 'High zoom quality '
smoothing filter will be applied to the image, though in Settings it will retain 'Never' option

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.4.5. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

fixed in 1.4.5
(settings in Settings affets Viewer menu item, but not the other way)

as far as I got the idea for settings that duplicated in multiple places:

• Settings
  is persistant storage

• Viewer/Browser state
  is session only and do not affect Settings
  it is OK as long as its consistant and applies to all other cases as well
