XnView Software

While editing a specific image I can only select to "save" and overwrite the original image or to "save as" new image.

While working with other image editing tools, I'm used to have a feature that always protects the original image.
Is there a way to set something alike?

- save a copy (similar to 'save as')
- export
- auto backup
- ps adjustment layers/smart objects
- sidecar xmp
