Today I used a filter in thumbnail browser.
I wanted to see only folders with the name 'Duesseldorf' in my root directory.
The filter worked correctly. I renamed one folder 'Duesseldorf 2022' to another name 'Mediaharbour 2022'.
Then I pressed the F5 key to refresh the thumbnail view.
XnViewMP refreshed the window, but furthermore show the new name of the renamed folder 'mediaharbour 2022' and sort all other folders with 'Duesseldorf' by name.

Why does XnViewMP ignore the filter, which is active?

I expected, that XnViewMP removed the folder 'Mediaharbour 2022' in the view, because it does not contain the filter text 'duesseldorf'.

right, but it's not a new bug.

0. start with the following structure/settings
- 2 clean portable versions (145, 160b) run from different folders

issue A
1. rename file/folder c to x in 160 (or145)
x will dissapear from filelist in other instance - OK
current instance still have x
2. press F5
nothing happens current instance still have x


issue B
1. (in win file explorer) rename file/folder c to x
x will dissapear from filelist - OK
2. (in win file explorer) move x file/folder from current folder (test) to some other folder
3. remove filter
there will be ghost x file/folder
4. press F5
ghost file/folder will dissapear

Do you use same catalog file?

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.6.0. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
