Is there a way to 'Tag' or 'Rate/Colour' a folder?

Thanks

why do you want to tag a folder?

You can rate/colour a folder in thumbnail view

for reference, folder's metadata per app:
- xnviewmp: rating, color label
- lightroom: color label
- acdsee: none
- faststone: none

ps. not sure if folder metadata is required at all

Thanks! I was expecting there to be an indication that it is coloured. Like a tag box or color box or something.

In the Details view, there is a "Colour label" column. But it is not showing the assigned color.
In the Details view there is also a Tag column with boxes that can be checked. But does not seem to work because I can't sort/filter on tagged folders.

I am on Mac OS. When I assign a Rating/Colour to a folder it is not retained after quitting/restarting app.

Strange, i've tested and it works. Catalog is enabled?

I've turned on Catalog with these settings and still no retention.

I have found the label "indicator" I was expecting. The indicator/overlay colors are in 'Metadata'. But still no retention:

To be clear: The Rating/Colour is retained for images, but not for the folders. I'm try to use the feature for folders.

Just trying different things to get it to work.

I did find the solution. Sorting out the Integration tab fixed it up. Thanks so much for your help!
