XnView: MP 1.6.3 - 64-bit
OS: Windows 11 - 64-bit

Effect: XNview does not open IPTC-templates. The fields remain empty. Version 1.6.1 still worked.

To reproduce:
1. Browse a folder and select one or more image files (JPEG format).
2. Go to "Edit IPTC" (Button toolbar or right mouse Metadata)
3. Load template (open any template)
4. The fields are empty ...
5. Only manual entrys are working.
6. You can save new templates - but the result remains the same.

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.6.4. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
