Solved - the application does not freeze, it just takes an extremely long time to convert photos

Subject: 1.6.4: Extremely slow conversion when converting to JPG Guetzli

XnView: MP 1.6.4 - 64 bit
OS: Mac Sonoma 64bit

I use bulk convert and select the option to save to JPG Guetzli so the process starts but never finishes. The program freezes and I have to force quit it. The exported file has not been created.

Effect: Program hangs

To reproduce:
1. I select any image format
2. I choose bulk convert
3. I set to save in Guetzli JPG format
4. I start the converter
5. the program hangs

Processing time for output to JPEG Guetzli format increases very quickly as image dimensions increase, the format was only ever intended for reducing the size of webpage images... I believe that WebP is now the recommended format for reducing the size of images?

I have previously suggested that a warning be displayed when the format is selected, due to both the possible processing time and a limitation on the quality Q values that are supported. But there is a limit to what a single developer can do...

You are right, it took 7 minutes to convert one photo. I'm sorry it's taking so long, it looked promising to transfer the whole gallery.
