... what's the difference between the two?
Moreover:
Is there a way to add a directory including all its subdirs
with one command?

Sorry, the correct location is Tools / Settings / Catalog for both.
In Catalog directly: "Import Folder",
in Catalog / Excluded/Included: "Add folder".
What's the difference between them?
And second question:
Is it possible (by one of them) to include a folder with all its subdirs
without having to visit all directories?

In Catalog directly: "Import Folder",
import all files info/metadatas in catalog, it imports files+subfolders
in Catalog / Excluded/Included: "Add folder".
Add a folder that must not be added in catalog

Thank you.
... but why is it called "Excluded/
Included"?

Weird... isn't it
BTW
A mean to prevent dumb questions (like mine

) might be to provide tooltips
(for every GUI element).
As there probably will never be a docu for XnViewMP...
