Dear Helmut,
Thanks for your quick reply. I have been using xnview for a couple of years and xnview deluxe for 3 days. Both are fantastic. Love them both and will buy Deluxe in the following weeks.
I have xnview crash on me about once a week and Deluxe crashed on me for the first time yesterday. This was after an hour of setting up my categories. When I started up Deluxe again I found that it had not recorded any of my catergories, or options or bookmarks for that matter. Same with xnview 1.68. If it crashes, I lose everything. Is it possible to change the code so that it records all changes to disk as they occur (like posting a new entry in an accounting package)?
I have the latest video drivers and windows updates of windows 2000 with 1Gb ram. Why would they both be crashing.
Another bug I found in Deluxe was when I do a convert with Export Wizard, the image data comes up over the images so cannot see the images. I see where the data should go (dowm in the tabs) but alas it doesn't. Help!!
My dream feature:
I like to use all the space available on A4 prints for my photo. I often crop the image to make the X/Y ratio about 0.77. On Paint Shop Pro, when I score out a region of the image to crop, the status bar at the bottom gives me the X/Y ratio as well as the usual coordinates. For an A4 print this needs to be about .77
So when I crop the image to this ration I get a perfectly full A4 print. Can you include this ratio data on the status bar on your next version of Deluxe
Am happy also to be a beta tester if you need one. I live in Melbourne Australia
Regards
Louix Chazique.

Re: Xnview data not saved when it crashes
I noticed this on XnView for Linux, and warned Pierre about it, but he has not fixed it. I guess that Pierre thinks this isn't a bug, but only a different behavior. I think this behavior should be changed. I think options should be saved as soon as user clicks on OK/Apply button. I don't know what are categories, but everything should be saved as soon as possible. You never know when there will be a blackout or when the system will hang.Louix Chazique wrote:I have xnview crash on me about once a week and Deluxe crashed on me for the first time yesterday. Regarding Xnview and Xnview Deluxe Crashing
Dear Pierre,
I don't understand how to insert an image with the html command for the bug in the export wizard. Can you send me an example of how to attach the screen shot I have made for you.
I tried this but I don't think it works

You can either:Louix Chazique wrote:I don't understand how to insert an image with the html command for the bug in the export wizard. ...
- Place an image on a Web server and then post the URL, here. (Sure enough not all people have access to a Webserver)
or
- Send Pierre the image via mail (see topic 'Welcome!'] for mail address).
