In browser switching view "Thumbnails" with any other (details, list, icon) cause images not cached. It can be easily checked in cache options, look at list of cached directories. So when i return to the already viewed directory, it loads very slow.Sorry but could you explain more. I don't udnerstand your problem.

And one more thing, does xnview support interpolation of images? They look ugly in preview area in any zoom, that differs 100%.
Sorry for my english, itsn't very good.
Yes, I mean exactly that. You mean:
In browser, the thumbnail view is cached. When switching to another type of view (e.g. menu 'View->View as->Icons'), the browsed folders and their files are not cached.
It isn't so, XnView also renders the pictures, not only headers, look at progress bar, which appears in the down right corner. Besides, it takes a lot of processor time. So what i have to do, if i don't like thumbnail type of view? Not quite clear whether this is a bug: For the icon, details, and list type view, only parts (basically the header and file info) of the image data is loaded. This is fast (a lot faster than viewing thumbnails). Naturally caching is not done, since this would require reading all the image data.
