In BROWSER mode, actions I performed:
Add a "z" to the front of an image's name, press F5 to refresh, the Thumbnail order is not re-sorted.
Rotate an image using Ctrl+Shift+R, and then press F5 to refresh, Thumbnail not changed.
But after restarting MP, the thumbnails are updated.

Please don't forget the portrait images
For them, using the landscape thumbnails will waste a lot of screen space.
I like the old way that the users can input their custom values in the options.
I cannot find them now or is it in somewhere else?

I only know the alternatives.
cbs shell can do it for windows explorer; use tweakui to adjust the thumbnail sizes
or use comicrack
Both may take some time to generate the thumbnails, depending on the number of files.
