Re: add 'open enclosing folder' to right click menu

It would be great if the 'Open containing folder' could be added to the context menu that shows when I right click anywhere in the image?
You means context menu of the preview?

Yes. When the image displays, it would be great to be able to right click in the center of it and open the containing ...

Re: add 'open enclosing folder' to right click menu

You have 'Open containing folder' in the context menu (when right-clicking on a thumbnail in the browser).

If I have another program create an image and use xnView to open it, I don't have that thumbnail as I have it setup to just show the menus at the top and the image itself.

It would be great ...

is there a way to display the different passes of an EXR?

Besides the main image and the alpha, an EXR can have many other passes.

Is there a way to display them?

Ideally, it would be cool if XnView noticed which EXR buffers were available when it loaded an image, and put up text buttons for each one, maybe in it's own tool bar?

This would make it very ...

add 'open enclosing folder' to right click menu

I use xnView by having another program call it with the location of the file to be displayed.

I don't always know the location.

It would be great if there were a right click menu for clicking on the image to open the enclosing folder where the image is stored.

Hope this feature isn't already ...

Re: Win7 issues?

I use on Windows 7 64-bit and there is no problem at all. It really works very well. I have not faced any problem yet. It is the perfect of Windows 7 OS. Also, I have already install and un-install three times without any problem.
I had used the zip file to copy the folders by hand.

That didn't ...

ways to apply gamma to exr file for viewing?

Generally linear exr images will need a 2.2 gamma applied to look 'correct'.

I see how I can apply a gamma of 2.2 by hand using xnView, but ...

1. Is there way to add an 0n/off button to display an exr image with gamma 2.2?

2. Is there a way to set xnView up so that it will always display an exr ...

Re: Win7 issues?

How is your UAC setup? I'd really like to get rid of that warning.

I'd guess it is attempting to change something (no doubt innocent), or there wouldn't be a warning?

I don't made changes for UAC, i use default settings...
Do you have tried to uninstall/install?
Is your UAC set to the top, the ...

Re: Win7 issues?

I have been unable to get rid of that warning without changing UAC for ALL programs.

My other graphic programs do not cause any warnings.

I've got the OpenEXR plug-in installed, and that is all.

I'm only using it to display exr images, not to change anything.

I've tried changing xnView to use a ...

1. That does not explain how all the additional associates got set? As I said, I only set the single OpenEXR association, and many other showed up as being set.
Yes, very strange and i can't reproduce...

Win7 issues?

I moved the contents of XnView-win-small v1.97.6 to C:\xnView and set it up to run in XP SP3 compatibility mode (it didn't seem to want to take my file association setup when I used the normal Program Files (x86)folder?)

I placed the OpenEXR plug-in in the plug-in folder.

I setup xnView to use the ...
