I noticed that the "Batch conversion"-window, which is modal, becomes non-modal after one conversion.
I rather like this window being non-modal (as I can add more pictures in XnView by dragging them onto the window) but I'm wondering if it is fully intended this way. (I would prefer it being ...

Hi,
my (peculiar) workflow leads to this bug, which persists also today in XnView 1.98.7 under Windows7 64.
tag the JPG in XnView MP with XMP-Rating
delete pictures based on the Rating
edit pictures in XnView
rename RAW-files to .JPG to match them with WinMerge
set IPTC + XMP data of ...

Currently i don't know how to use exiftool with unicode filename :(
I guess exiftool doesn't support unicode.
So would you use another tool to show exif?

Hi,
if I use another program (for example XnView) to modify multiple pictures in the same directory I view with XnViewMP, for example rotating or resizing, XnViewMP crashes nearly all the time.

Hi,
"Rotate image based on EXIF orientation" is enabled for 'General' and 'Browser->Misc'. Works fine in browser mode (although with the known bug that one has to refresh).
But if I enlarge a portrait format shot picture to full screen mode, it shows it only for a second correctly and then often ...

Actually, you are right. Some of the 24bpp-32bpp-24bpp converted versions looked horrible enough to convince me, that this is not 16bit/channel
