What options are there for ensuring xnviewmp is up to date on linux?
I normally have to manually check but it would be awesome if it is updated when I update everything else, like add it to the sources list or something like that?

Re: Folder tree sorting issue?
Perhaps there is a log file or something like that I could send along to help diagnose the issue?

Re: Folder tree sorting issue?
sure.
the interface is giving me an error so I apologize if the attachment isnt there.
Also, for the rest of my computer, like root directory etc it shows up in alphabetical order, just not this new directory I made.

Re: Batch Convert\Filename YYYY not an option?
Thanks. I guess I should have mentioned that I had tried Import and sort but it didn't allow a customization format but more importantly its not clear to me where its getting the dates from (file creation date, exif digitized date, does it default to modified date if the others don't exist).

Batch Convert\Filename YYYY not an option?
I was trying to use XNviewMP to reorganize my photos by year\year-month\filename (yyyy\yyyy-mm\fn). Thankfully MP allows the usage of "date taken" and "date digitized" (an option strangely absent from many programs) so I thought I could use a mask like:
{EXIF:Date Digitized [Y]}\{EXIF:Date ...
{EXIF:Date Digitized [Y]}\{EXIF:Date ...

Searching photos for keywords they *don't* have?
I found pretty quickly how to search for photos using "contain" or "is any of" parameters but haven't been able to figure out if its possible to do a "negative" or "not" searches like for all the photos that don't contain a keyword, is this possible?

Hi, I tried to batch convert a collection of movie posters from jpg to dds and for some reason xn resized the files and added black space to the DDS file. Here are links to the before
