When you use Map->Adjust in Batch Convert and you adjust the Gamma value with the arrows, the steps are too big (+/- 1.0). For a value like Gamma (+/- 0.1) would be more appropriate. However if you adjust the Gamma value behind the decimal point, either through the slider or through manual entry ...
