Re: Batch convert -- Support adding custom actions
As XnConvert is nominally identical to XnView MP's Batch convert... (different update cycles), I have been able to solve the problem by editing the title of you first post...

Re: MP 1.9.2: 'Crop, Save & Next' does not save
I thought this previously reported bug had been fixed recently: Old versions.
There has recently been some kind of change to where images are saved, with I think a new setting added, so while waiting other input possibly worth checking other possible save locations.

Re: Convert HTML to JPEG?
Another possibility, depending on the nature and quantity of HTML files to be saved, could be to paste the required text or images into a word processor, make any edits needed and then export the resulting files to JPEG format: LibreOffice Writer (and Draw) support that, as likely do the MS Office ...

A quick online search for 'convert html file to jpeg' brings up quite a number of online converters you might look at...
In suitable rather limited circumstances another possibility could be to make a screenshot or series of screenshots and then process the resulting images in XnView MP.

Re: Resizing images by 50% doubles the file size?
When I use the batch process to reduce the size 50%, when the images are saved as jpg, the resolution is halved, but the file size is almost double, over 4.7 Mb.
On the Output tab, check the JPEG save settings...
Your resized images are probably being saved at a higher quality value than the ...

Wouldn't a pop-up offering alternative options be best?
And maybe also a checkbox option 'Make this default action'?

Re: Cleaning up B&W prints for Wikimedia Commons
Until now, I was using Irfanview... I clean up and restore public domain drawings and prints, mostly black & white. The most important tool is the color replacer in 0 to 255 grayscale range.
I moved from Irfanview to XnView when I discovered that it had a 'Levels' adjustment option, my preferred ...

Re: Batch convert mixed formats?
XnConvert converts all loaded files to the same selected output format and compression level, so if you are looking to convert all mixed-format files to the same format you can easily do that, and if you wish also place all converted files in the same folder.

Re: XnConvert - Rotate based on EXIF orientation
Can XnConvert automatically rotate images based on the EXIF orientation field, just like XnViewMP does? If so, where is the option located?
I mean, rebuilding the embedded thumbnail seems possible, directly within hte JPG format settings... But I can't find the setting to rewrite the orientation ...

Re: 1.9.2: pdf files with zero dimensions and no thumbnail
Your test file opens normally in XnView MP 1.9.1 and 1.9.2 with Ghostscript 9.50 installed, so probably a Ghostscript version issue, there have been recent posts somewhere that are likely relevant. Tested in Linux Mint DEB versions.

I don't print much from XnView MP, but could it be something like the Layout tab - Best fit to page setting is overriding the Page setup - Orientation setting? Something like that, I'm tired...

Re: Resize a large image to a small one and the weight of the images increases
Your screenshot above 444444.png indicates that your output PNG files will have no compression, compression value set to '0', so try setting that value to '9' and then check their file sizes and whether there is any noticeable delay when they are opened for viewing, probably not.
