Re: Tabs vs Floating Windows

I just changed from an old copy of xnview to MP, and now I have tabs instead of windows when I open files... don't want tabs... I haven't yet found a way to reclaim this 'classic' function. Can I? Your post surprised me because I thought that XnView Classic normally had tabs: having reluctantly boo...

Re: JPG files is NO complete

It works! I delete filter " -clean 95". JPEG don't like this filter. The help file entry for -clean has these option: -clean value : JPEG Clean Metadata (EXIF/IPTC/...) 1 : Comment 2 : EXIF 4 : XMP 8 : EXIF thumbnail 16 : IPTC 32 : ICC Profile 64 : Other markers I understand the above to mean that ...

Re: JPG files is NO complete

Did you export your basic code from XnConvert (or XnView MP Batch convert)? Are you running your code in a batch file .bat or directly at the command line? Please note that when I unexpectedly starting using NConvert I had almost no command line experience and encountered many problems; eventually I...

Re: JPG files is NO complete

Ok. I rename file to "test" and do simple filter. I copy output text from command line. Nothing happens to the file. d:\edu\picpic\cd\picpng-com\pic-convert-example\pic-example>d:\distr\NConvert-win64\NConvert\nconvert.exe -clean 95 -out jpeg test.jpg ** NCONVERT v7.41 (c) 1991-2019 Pierre-E Gougel...

Re: JPG files is NO complete

It is difficult to "see the wood for the trees" with your long code lines including long file names. On your last point, when the output format is specified using -out then ' jpeg ' is correct because that is the file format name, not an extension. And the -canvas 99%%%% 99%%%% term should be -canva...

Re: JPG files is NO complete

I have noticed that you don't specify an output file type: -out format : Output format name While that isn't always necessary, I'm not sure of the result with your code when the input files are of multiple types. You may also want to specify the output file names: -o filename : Output filename Use #...

Re: JPG files is NO complete

I am no expert on the command line but you could try replacing the last term: * by *.* Or alternatively by: *.png *.jpg Also, although seemingly not actually an issue, in batch files the percent sign is doubled to escape the character: So the -resize 105%% 105%% term is correct but --canvas 99%%%% 9...

Re: Help with converting files

Do you have any actions set on the Actions tab? If so, could you please state the actions set, if possible reduced to the minimum actions required to reproduce the issue, and upload any PDF file that can be used to reproduce the issue... If you have actions selected, a good test would be to first s...

Re: Help with converting files

Can I ask you for some help with converting PDF files to JPG files with XnConvert? Is there an option to avoid cropped pixels on each side of the document ? On the Settings tab Load format settings... what DPI do you have set? Could you upload an example PDF that can be used to reproduce the issue?

Re: Fusion Dark - change BG colours of preview and category sets

As it turns out "Bildverwaltung" in my general settings panel actually IS "Browser" in the English language version. And there I have the little colour swatch for Preview background colour... Seems like the translation of "Browser" by "Bildverwaltung" was a bit unexpected, so it got me off the trac...

Re: MacOS El Capitan 10.11

I have found myself in need of a webp-to-png (or jpg) converter. The current version of XnConvert(1.85) won't run on my system. I am wondering if there is an older version of XnConvert available that will run on MacOS 10.11.6 (El Capitan). Earlier versions can be downloaded from this link: Old vers...

Re: Creating one contact sheet instead of many

How do I create just one contact sheet instead of many contact sheets? XNView creates contact sheets individually, for example if I have 16 photos and 4 to a page, I end up with 4 separate sheets. I just want one contact sheet with multiple pages. Is there a workaround for this? The term 'contact s...

Re: Replace all colours with black, except white

Good OCR programs (like Abbyy Finereader) can handle almost everything quite correctly. Because of the reduced quality it may go wrong on specifically the 'full stop' and the 'comma'. Meaning to say that it may regularly be the case that a comma is detected/seen as a full stop. This is because of t...
