Re: Fenetre indeplaçable ?
En plus lorsque la fenetre s'ouvre la photo est automatiquement grisée, ce qui complique grandement les réglages que je souhaite faire.
Bonjour
In English, that one is Tools > Settings > View -- Show highlight selection.

@nicola.gentile.vt:
Pierre was unable to reproduce what you reported, his test image scanned at 300 DPI had the expected properties.
If you find an explanation for the DPI value you obtained, it would be helpful if you could post it here.

A scanner interface bug?
This post reports that images scanned using the XnView MP scanner interface report an incorrect DPI value and in turn incorrect image canvas size dimensions.
To test, scan a sheet (such an A4 page) at 300 DPI, save the file produced, and then check whether the scanned image DPI and image dimensions ...

Thanks, that does have a certain logic, but nonetheless seems quite surprising.

Re: I scan at 300 dpi but the photo then appears at 72 dpi
These are the properties of your image viewed in XnView MP as displayed in Image > Properties... [the 'i' icon on the toolbar]:

The DPI value isn't displayed but is in fact 72 DPI, so the value displayed in Photoshop is actually correct.

Re: I scan at 300 dpi but the photo then appears at 72 dpi
Thank you for the clearer images, I repeat my questions...
1. Are you scanning from within XnView MP? [Using the TWAIN interface]
2. Which file format is the saved scan? Possibly PDF?
Maybe you can also attach an example scan output file?

Your images cannot be viewed as the resolution is too low, but:

Re: Speed decoding JPEG2000
Opening JPEG2000 images and maybe certain other formats at less than full resolution would require adding a setting, as presently provided for opening Camera RAW images, or in principle a pop-up when the file is loaded which might not work well.

Re: Hot folder on Mac Sequoia not working
I'm trying to watch a folder with the hot folder option for a simple batch image resize action. My goal is: Start XnConvert, copy some images to folder A and on folder B the resized images will be automatically generated.
I've created a batch convert script with the desired resizing, checked the ...

Re: Speed decoding JPEG2000
The JPEG2000 format due to its complexity requires a lot of decoding, so opening files will inevitably generally take longer than for many other formats.
