Re: 1.8.0 - Multipages and multiresolutions Tiff image isn't well displayed

Thanks, I suspected that another software such as GMIP might open them, but it is no longer a default software in Linux Mint.

Meanwhile, if it is any help -- probably not -- I have used XnConvert to extract all pages to a folder that is too large to attach directly.

So it looks as if XnView MP ...

Re: 1.8.0 - Multipages and multiresolutions Tiff image isn't well displayed

Re: 1.8.0 - Multipages and multiresolutions Tiff image isn't well displayed

To clarify, it is possible to step through the eight pages of the first TIFF download, but after page four the images display as black, and pages one to four seem to display the same image.

The first file's properties show it to be a tiled TIFF with JPEG compression, and it seems likely that the ...

Re: 1.8.0 - Multipages and multiresolutions Tiff image isn't well displayed

Can you provide a sample TIFF file, attachment size limit 2MiB, otherwise by posting a download link?

Is the TIFF file possibly particularly large?

Re: XnView MP for Beginners - Guides and Tutorials

The practical issue is that all xnview.com software ever produced is the product of a single developer, Pierre, who makes it available as freeware for non-commercial use... :D

For a developer, designing software and coding it are their main interest, with testing and documentation lower priorities ...

In XnView MP Tools > Settings... > View > Filter -- Custom do you have AI/PDF/AI selected?

That would seem to be a prerequisite for viewing those formats, but possibly not sufficient...

See also Tools > Settings... >File list > Custom filter , to complicate matters, not sure how those two ...

Normally by providing a download link, which can be from a Google Drive account provided the download is set to be available to anyone, or maybe if size permits, as an email attachment to the xnview.com contact address on the website home page, with ...

Re: Converting multiple jp2 to a single pdf file

In the XnView MP file browser there is Create > Multi-page file... which you could try, but be warned that large JPs can be quite slow to open.

Edit: You wish to create a PDF file, having joined the two files you could then try saving the combined file to a PDF, or alternatively you could try ...

Re: Advice on LInux Installation?

What kind of advice do you need, do you actually need to change from the Ubuntu versions?

I moved from Windows to Linux Mint a few years ago and use Pierre's DEB version successfully, a potential issue with alternative installs such as DEB and TGZ is security, but I have no reason for concern with ...
