Re: Older (or newer) version of nconvert for Linux?

Is it possible that there is a newer Linux version with this fixed, or alternatively a link to an EARLIER version before this change occurred? The Archive section on the webpage for nconvert downloads offers only versions for older operating systems, not older versions of nconvert for, in this inst...

Re: Texts are placed in wrong location and wrong size

I can't reproduce either, a possible misunderstanding about how the text tool should be used?? o Text size set is in pixels, I presume, so text will appear smaller when image dimensions are larger. o After setting the text parameters, when the mouse cursor is moved over the image it should change in...

Re: darken text

Excellent result XnTriq!

Very small file size in binary (1-bit depth or 'black and white') saved as a PNG, 19 KB, but only 14 KB as a TIFF with 'Fax' CCITT G4 compression, both lossless compression methods...

Re: PDF Metadata

I think my question was misunderstood. I was referring to the actual metadata in the PDF file. Say nconvert named the file "0.pdf", then 0.pdf will be the value in the "Title" field in Acrobat. The author, keyword etc fields remain blank. Is there a way to add/not add metadata t...

Re: PDF Metadata

When I create a multipage PDF, nconvert writes the "Title" metadata as the filename. Is there a way to stop this? The following code options should work: -o filename : Output filename Use # to specify position of numeric enumerator Use % to specify source filename Use $ to specify full so...

Re: Compression of Files

I don't know whether that is possible, although I suspect it might be using wildcards in the input term, maybe something like \*\*.tif. Best to start a new thread, one topic per thread works best, and a new thread is more likely to get Pierre's attention... Note: You have posted under the XnConvert ...

Re: Compression of Files

The -c 4 term in your code creates a PDF file using ZIP compression, but for a smaller file size you need 'Fax' compression which is another name for CCITT G4 compression, the compression used in the input TIFF files... Please try this code: nconvert -multi -c 1 -q 85 -out pdf -o test.pdf "c:\f...

Re: bisherige iptc daten werden nicht laden

No, when i want to open the files. The files don't show me the keywords i done before. The program told me, its not possible to load the old iptc data. Can you upload a file with old IPTC that can not be read? [2 MiB maximum, in a ZIP or similar archive if the file format is not allowed for direct ...

Re: Batch file to bundle JPGs into multi-page TIF

I posted while you were posting so we crossed, please see my post above... I've since, depending on clarification of what you wish to do, had another idea of how you could use drag and drop: o Drag and drop an arbitray number of files into a folder; o Run [double-click] a script that uses *.jpg as i...

Re: Batch file to bundle JPGs into multi-page TIF

Something like that? nConvert.exe -out tiff -o out.tif -multi -binary nodither -c 7 -rMeta file1.tif file2.tif You can list the files to be processed, as above, or use a filelist ( -l option) or use *.jpg, which would probably be the usual way to process a number of files in a folder... Is your con...

Re: Upgrade pdf version! Is it possible?

Here is the original PNG opened in XnView Classic, converted to 64 Gray scale, and saved as a PDF with ZIP compression... Note that the quality opened in Adobe Acrobat looks better, and the file size is still only 64KB (60.08KiB), much smaller than the other PDF versions posted. Can someone compare ...

Re: Upgrade pdf version! Is it possible?

Once it becomes clear that a poster is asking the wrong question, as posters often do , providing detailed resources related to the original question asked seems of limited relevance to me! I've just had my first look at the original PNG file, and it is indeed remarkable quality for the quite ...

Re: Upgrade pdf version! Is it possible?

Related: PDF/A PDF/A places many constraints on a PDF file in order to ensure that archived content can always be read in the future, but is it relevant to this thread? But when you have time, you should have some useful advice on text enhancement of bitmap images... :D Edit: Ah, you've added anoth...
