Select a number of thumbnails, select batch rename, select name template, enter a base name. The first photo in the rename list will not have the generated suffix, all remaining photos will.

I am trying to understand why I would use tag of images versus selection of images. Selection seems to be what operations on multiple photos work with (i.e. open, edit, etc). It seems I can tag a number of images, and then view only the tagged images, but I cannot find a way to go back and view all ...
