as you can see a lot of even the simplest feature requests are not understand and accepted.
Just a recommendation:
Get the pretty unknown but VERY useful picture Viewer "Imagine" from here:
http://www.nyam.pe.kr/dev/imagine/
It has everything you (we) want.
Don't mix it with other tools called ...

This is really confusing.
If I press DEL and the current picture does not disappear.
I am sure it is not difficult to implement a "show simple grey background if last pictures in folder is deleted".
Could add this in the next version?

Assume I open one picture from a directory with multiple pictures.
The mode is currently "Fit window to image".
Because the picture is very big I switch to "Fit image to window (large only)".

- Fit window to image
and

When I assign them to toolbar then they have no icon (=empty icon).

The situation is as follows in XnView: On the left side the directory tree pane is visible while on the right the current directory with all the picture thumbnails is shown.
I can do now a MOVE by drag & drop. That means I can press the left mouse on a thumbnail and drag the picture to another ...
