Assume I am currently in "Browse" mode with some picture thumbnails shown in gallery.
The window size is somehow "normal".
Then I double click on one of the pictures: The picture is now shown in "View" mode. The size of the window is different from the
"Browse" size window before. Due to the size of the shown picture it is much more narrow (width) and comparable high.
I selected "Fit window to image" if this matters.
Then I hit the ESC key to return to the "Browse" mode.
Much to my surprise the windows size does not change to the "normal" browse Gallery window size. XnView keeps the window size of the
"View" windows just before.
I think this is a bug.
Otherwise: How can I tell XnView to either
- revert to the old "Browse" windows size just two steps before
or
- always use for the "Browse" mode an initial pre-defined window size and position?

Re: Bug: switch back from view to browse: NO window resize
you use 'Use different size for browser&view'?

Re: Bug: switch back from view to browse: NO window resize
I can confirm this bug.
I used the following options:
Options > Interface > Interface:
[X] Use different position/size for browser & view (Should be: [X] Allow different window position/size for browser & viewer)
[X] Remember last window position/size
Options > View > View:
Auto Image size: Fit image to desktop, large only
Here should be another option to switch off the automatic centering of the viewer window:
[ ] Center window on desktop
