In need of a good JPEG I installed IrfanView and had to notice the same problem. Obviously the problem is not with XnView but with my Computer. 1.) Exit XnView
2.) Rename your xnview.ini file in C:\Program Files\XnView\ to xnview.ini.old
3.) Start XnView
