I have a similar problem with Canon CR3 RAW files. GPS coordinates are given in associated XMP sidecar files in the form, for example,

<exif:GPSLatitude>30,27.945288N</exif:GPSLatitude>

Even though I have Settings > Sidecar > RAW set to "Yes", XnView MP shows no GPS data under the EXIF tab of the ...

Would you please try the following? I'd like to hear your comments on the results.
1. Open the *.CR3 RAW file I sent you into XnviewMP.
2. Open the menu selection Edit > Properties .
3. Click the ExifTool tab.
