I changed my settings to the ones you specified and waited for the program to refresh all the thumbnails. Sadly, it didn't fix the problem, when I opened a folder inside the directory then went back out, all the thumbnails were blank again. But they are refreshing faster, so that's a plus.

The thumbnails always refresh when I open the program; if I have a lot of folders and other files within a directory, and I open one of those folders, then go back out to the directory, all the thumbnails refresh again, even though I haven't changed anything. It takes a long time to refresh them all ...

Somehow I managed to do something to the preview window so now it only shows info, not an image. I've attached a screenshot. I can't find anything in the settings to get it back! Thanks if you can help.

Is there a way to tweak the interface so there's more contrast in the tab colors between the image you're viewing and other image tabs? They are almost exactly the same color which makes it hard to know at a glance which file you're looking at (for me at least).

Sorry if this topic has already been covered, I searched for it but didn't find anything on it. Hey! I uninstalled and reinstalled XnViewMP and now it's working!!!! Maybe I should have installed the klite codec pack before installing XnView? But anyway, it works now and I'm so happy!!!!!!

In XnView MP 0.78, I have no thumbnails for any video files, and the video files also aren't included in the list view. It's as if they don't exist.
In XnView Classic, I have picture thumbnails for avi files. For mov/mts/mp4, I have the thumbnail labels, but the images are blank.

Hmmm... I added ffmpeg.exe to the XnView Classic addons folder.... didn't help. I looked at all the settings in the .ini file, they are as specified in the other thread. I'm about to give up and maybe get ACDSee.... makes me sad though....

And... I installed IrfanView, which has a much more primitive interface, but has no problem showing thumbnails for all the videos. I'm only mentioning that to show that it is possible. I sure prefer the XnView software though, if I could just get this problem worked out.

Also, I just noticed that in XnView Classic, I do see thumbnails of AVI files, but only blanks for MOV and MTS files. I do have the Quicktime player installed.

I do have Video checked in settings... Visible, Show as Thumbnail, Show in Preview are all checked. The video formats in that area are: MPEG, Quicktime, and AVI.
