all jpg files but only for XnView MP, for XnView they are displayed

I have the problem that XnViewXP doesn't show me thumbnails for *.jpg. For other formats e.g. RAW it works.
I have already reinstalled but without success.

When I connect my camera xt-3 fuji via USB 3.0 no thumbnails are shown. If I read the SD card directly via a card reader it works without problems.

I noticed that the path does not seem to be read correctly, see attachment.

With Windows Explorer and Irfanview it works without problems ...

i have white icons png with transparent background.
These are always displayed in the overview as miniature images only as white empty images.

Is it possible to change the background of the thumbnails somehow?
