I'm testing NConvert on a Windows XP Professional 64bit environment with 4 GB RAM.
I found it allocates maximum 2GB RAM, even if there is more RAM available.
Is it possible it is due to the fact it has been compiled for 32bit windows version?
If it is so, would be possible to have an enhanced ...

The size of the original Tiff 1 bit file (2400 dpi) is 49600 x 38734 pixles.
The target (150 dpi) should have a dimension of 3100 x 2421 pixels.
Note that if the same original file is compressed with CCITT 4, everything works fine!
Do you have any idea?

I'm using succesfully NCOVERT from version 4.78 for managing big tiff 1 bit files.
In particular the purpose is to decrease resolution from 2400 dpi to 150 dpi mantaining the the size.
As I wrote at beginning, everything works fine if I use TIFF 1 bit files with CCITT Group 4 ...

1) I tried to cut a little box from the whole image but i got as result just a linear strip few cm wide . I used the -crop option.

2) I tried to resample the image to 150 dpi from the original 2400, keeping the document size. In this ...

I found NConvert fails managing BIG (97300x72734 pixels) TIFF 1bit files.
I tried to use very powerful machines (double XEON processor PC, 2GB RAM, Windows 2003 server OS) but the result are the same.
Did any of you find similar problems in advance?
If it is so, did you solve it ...
