XnView Software

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.8.0 . Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

I do see some of them have black backgrounds and others have gray backgrounds which is a little confusing but at the end of the day I can finally see the image so I'm not ...

Another image viewer I'm using that displays transparency just fine with the same set of images is https://github.com/easymodo/qimgv

Sorry, I meant to attach a good and bad png image but forgot. I've got lots to choose from but I tried to pick 2 that are as similar as possible with only the "Color Type" as the difference

Hi, I know this is an old thread and it's my fault for not checking back for updates (I'll figure out why I'm not getting email notifications next). Anyway, I keep checking every 6 months or so ...

The last post gave me an idea.. I copied the /.config/xnview folder from the working mac to the one with the issue and that did it. I guess maybe this file was corrupted somehow..

anyway, looks like it's working now!

That would be the obvious choice - I agree.. but, checked/unchecked - no difference. Including rebuilding thumbnails after each check

I'm not able to figure out what this menu option does.

I would like XnView to fit small images to the preview window. This option seems like it would do the job:



But, it doesn't seem to have any effect.. what am I missing?

Both computers have this set to "Lossless (ZIP)" - although I've also tried disabling the catalog and no difference

Not sure if it helps, but here's an example .png file.. nothing special - just a white icon with transparent background.

I can't figure this one out for the life of me. I have XnView on 2 Macbook's.. 1 of them works fine but the other doesn't. The issue is that I have lots of white icons in .png format with transparent backgrounds.

I'm expecting to see some background color behind the images so I can identify ...
