Re: typo - grEyscale to grAyscale
I oppose this suggestion. In fact I have the English language file installed which is represented by an Union Flag and therefore suggest that the incorrect spelling of "color" throughout the program be corrected instead.

Re: Video (mov) upside down and stuttering
No codec pack was suggested to me but the most commonly used one is a K-Lite Codec Pack. I refuse to use them due to bad experiences in the past.
That ini file hack does not work for me. It results in movies not showing at all.
Dreamer's exiftool command works for me and solves the problem.

This works but changes the date stamp which is a problem for me. Just an additional task to change it back.

Re: Video (mov) upside down and stuttering
It's a longstanding problem with HEVC format movies taken in portrait mode on you phone that Pierre doesn't seem able to fix, other than suggesting you use a codec pack.

Re: Video playback orientation for portrait videos
It doesn't work here with XnView MP as already reported. Most phone (Google Pixel phones) videos simply don't play, all I get is a blank screen. Those that do play are not rotated. Other videos where I've used software to rotate these videos do play.

Same here. I have no interest in installing a codec pack which makes a mess of my system writing over everything else.

Re: Video playback orientation for portrait videos
Same here.
Portrait videos from 2 different phones produce landscape thumbnails and are viewed upside-down for me.
They are viewed correctly in PowerDVD.
XnView Classic doesn't show them at all as if they don't exist.

No, I had bad experiences with such packages years ago and avoid them.
