Why are actions accessible from the main menu different to actions available in the Batch convert , please?

So do I understand it correctly, that it's possible to set the alpha in the Canvas resize action of the Batch convert, but it's not possible in the Canvas resize accessed directly from the main menu? What's the reason for that? It's complicated and unintuitive.

you can define custom ratio via ResizePresets.txt


But those presets are only for image resizing (as the file name suggests), it doesn't affect the selection size presets, unfortunately. There are completely different presets under the selection size menu.
