32-bit or 64-bit Ghostscript?

Hi,

I've just installed the latest XnView on my fresh 64-bit Windows 7 installation.

I want to download and install Ghostscript for EPS and AI files, but I don't know if I have to download and install the 64-bit version of Ghostscript or the 32-bit version. XnView installs in the 32-bit Program ...

Ah, I found out how it works ...

The "Ignore alpha channel" option causes the "Use alpha channel" option in the viewer to be deactivated, so you can't uncheck it in the viewer.

I find this confusing. In my humble opinion a simple "Show alpha channel" checkbox in Options > Thumbnails would be ...

How to get rid of alpha channel in thumbnails?

Hi,

I can't seem to get rid of the alpha channel being taken into account when generating thumbnails in XnView. How do I switch that off? I've checked Options > General > Ingore Alpha Channel, and if I want to uncheck "Use alpha channel" in the viewer, it is both checked and deactivated, so I can't ...

Thanks for your info Helmut!

Another thing I'd love to see is Windows context in the right-click menus, so we can do things like Rarring a file.

Cheers,

Metin

More file handling functions

Hi,

I'd love to see more Windows Explorer file management functions in XnView, such as easy moving, copying of files by dragging with the left and/or right mouse button, but also easy Zipping and Rarring of files, so we can also use XnView as a full-fledged alternative for that lame Windows ...

Full-screen and associations

Hi,

I've got two questions regarding XnView:

1: I want to always view my images in full-screen when I double-click a thumbnail. How do I set that in the options? Now I get the image in the current windiow size and have to press F11 to get it in full-screen size.

2: How can I open all files ...

Desktop edge docking

Hi,

I'd like to request a feature, if possible. ACD Systems used to offer a product called mPower Tools, but they've stopped development and support, while the tool was really extremely handy and useful for your workflow. Basically it was ACDSee but dockable at the side of your desktop, so at any ...
