Which distro are you using?
Mine is Ubuntu 23.10 .

On Windows, it automatically works, but not for the Linux version.
Can you please hint at where or which parameters I need to set?

"Video thumbnails gallery" should provide a setting for the starting time of sampling. Because lots of clips start with a pitch black frame, which makes the first thumbnail useless.

I have no idea whether it is a bug or a feature.
I notice that if the duration of each thumbnail is less than 10 seconds, a repeated shot will be created.

After a few latest versions, "video thumbnails gallery" feature keeps failing to create a gallery. Created thumbnails stuck at a few initial seconds and repeated the shot for the whole sheet.
As shown in the attached failed vs. successful example (generated by the MPC app).

PS My ver = 1.6.3 64-bit ...
